My work
My work
I’m a design lead and senior product designer with deep involvement across the full product journey, from early concept through design execution. I’m passionate about creating thoughtful, user-centered experiences and take pride in mentoring junior designers, helping them strengthen their UX and visual design skills.
For the past twenty years, I’ve been based in the San Francisco Bay and Chicagoland areas, working at a range of tech, e-commerce companies and ad agencies across UX, visual/motion design, and brand/marketing. Over the last decade, I’ve focused exclusively on user experience design and research for consumer-facing products and enterprise applications. In the past seven years, I've worked at Microsoft gaining exposure to a broad range of projects across Skype/Teams messaging, Teams FLW apps and devices, Viva Learning, early Viva horizontals, and Viva Pulse. I've also faced a lot of ambiguity in early product discovery, solving challenging problems, and building 0-to-1 apps from the ground up.
My career began with a degree in Film and Animation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). I started out in brand, advertising, and motion design at various agencies before pivoting into UX, research, and product strategy after moving to the Bay Area. As my career evolved, so did my desire to drive greater design impact—grounding my approach in data-driven design decision-making and strategy.
I thrive in highly collaborative environments and am known for being a strong team player and a passionate advocate for inclusive design. I'm a strong believer in we are what we build. That means building strong relationships, and improving processes with our product and engineering partners because
the way we work takes shape in the end experiences we deliver.

My roots
Though I was born in Brooklyn, New York, I grew up in a small town in Ohio. My family moved when I was two. I went on to earn my BFA in Film and Animation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Growing up as an Asian American and a minority in a predominantly white, small-town community really shaped my worldview. Those early experiences instilled in me a deep sense of empathy, resilience, and the importance of inclusivity.
My roots taught me the value of kindness, openness, and listening deeply to others. And as a designer, I’ve built on those foundations, using my skills to advocate for inclusive, human-centered experiences that reflect diverse voices and needs.

Aside from work
Outside of my design work, I have a deep love for painting and illustration. In my downtime, you’ll often find me sketching or painting in my sketchbook, capturing early ideas that often evolve into larger pieces. I'm especially inspired by the beauty and character of the everyday, finding meaning in its details and sharing those moments through my own lens.
Recently, I’ve taken part in several Inky Goodness challenges, exploring creative briefs for fun that push me to think outside the box. I’ve also been part of “Night Class,” a workshop series led by Lindsay Stripling, a well-known San Francisco-based artist and illustrator, which has helped me further develop my sense of color and storytelling in my art.
